MEET THE MUSICIANS

We started a few years ago and quickly picked up a fan base. We play the most popular classic rock songs from the past few decades, plus selection of deeper cuts that fit our style. We rock for our fans, and you are a part of the show. Come out and share the experience.

Kathryn Prather - lead vocals

Kat has been singing professionally most of her life. She has performed with many incredible musicians, including singing with a record label in Nashville for a short time.  With previous groups she has also performed at special events, weddings, and studio work.  Kat is also a former Miss Indiana, which has also allowed her to sing at many events.  She is excited to bring a high level of energy and musicianship to this newest venture.

Chet Puckett - lead guitar and backing vocals

Chet has a natural love for music.  He first started playing guitar at the age of 7.  His dad introduced him to three chords and he was immediately hooked.  By 9th grade, he had joined his first rock band, "The Poor Souls."  Like many other garage bands in the 60's, they were heavily inspired by the Beatles.  In 1966, Chet was lucky enough to actually see The Beatles live in Memphis.

He continued to play with several bands in Memphis while also working for Memphis Light, Gas, and Water Division.  After retiring from there he moved to Louisville, and has continued playing guitar for praise bands at local churches for about 12 years.

He continues to bring his love for music and energetic performance to Timeless.  In his own words, "our goal is to provide authentic replications of these classic rock & pop songs in a family friendly show that brings back your fondest memories of these great hits. Come join us at our next venue!"

Doug Thompson - keyboard and backing vocals

Doug is an accomplished multi-instrumentalist who has a rich and diverse musical background.  Not only is he an award winning pianist with the National Guild Society, but he is also an experienced organist and teacher.  Doug has also competed in the Kentucky State Fiddlers Championship and has awards for 3 years.  He has also played with many different bands in diverse places, but his fondest memories are playing fiddle and acoustic guitar, as well as singing at the local country music shows.

As a keyboardist, Doug is a perfect fit for Timeless, bringing classic piano lines and different instrumental riffs you will immediately recognize.  Be sure to watch him play, and he may just surprise you with his impressive playing, singing, and occasional switching to one of his other specialty instruments.

Gordon Woods

Gordon Woods - drummer

In the summer of 1917, during the first world war, a young American airman from  Owensboro KY was stationed in England, he was Gordon's grandfather, Robert Lee Woods.  Gordon grew up in the city of Manchester, and at the age of 15, played rhythm guitar in his first band, playing the local club scene.  A guy who was a few classes above him in college was also doing the rounds. His name was Graham Nash with his group, "The Hollies."  Gordon made the transition to drums some time later, and played in an Irish showband for several years. In August 1995, he emigrated to Louisville with his wife and two kids.

After a career working for Land Rover and Mini Cooper, he finally retired in 2018. In his own words, "the longing to play music again was always there, and when I got together, initially with Chet and Doug, then Jack, and finally Kat, it was great to be back in a band, especially with such a talented and friendly bunch of musicians."

Jack Meisburg - bass and backing vocals

A native of Atlanta Georgia, Jack has been playing music for as long as he can remember.  He started on violin in fourth grade, and switched to double bass in sixth grade, which naturally led to him to also play bass guitar.  He comes from a family of music lovers, and saw his parents play in many local bands all throughout his childhood. It's safe to say they left a huge impression on him, and he is excited to continue to bring that energy to a new audience with Timeless.

Jack went to music school in Columbus GA and Stony Brook NY.  As a double bass player, he has performed with many great orchestra including the Louisville Orchestra and the Lexington Philharmonic.  In other settings, he's had the great fortune to play with many famous acts including All 4 One, Michael W Smith, Melissa Manchester, and Kansas, to name a few.
